Free Marine Workshops 'Copper-Nickel Alloys in Marine Environments'
|
|
CDA has been recognised for many years as a source of quality technical information and advice. Free in-house workshops can now be requested which concentrate on marine corrosion issues. These presentations are technical and are provided by established specialists. The content is flexible and can be tailored to the particular interests of your company.
CDA are joined by additional speakers for the full programme which gives an in depth overview of the behaviours of many commonly used alloys in seawater environments. A typical programme is included on this page.
Why copper-nickels?
Copper-nickel alloys have a unique combination of biofouling and corrosion resistance in seawater environments. These presentations will provide you with the latest technical information on the properties, corrosion behaviour and resistance to biofouling of wrought 90-10 and 70-30 copper-nickel alloys and details of their use in marine applications. It will also provide guidelines for selection, fabrication, commisioning and operational practices.
Who should attend?
Anyone involved in the design, specification, fabrication and operation of materials in contact with seawater and the marine environment in the following sectors/applications:
| Defence | Shipbuilding and repair | Offshore | Marine related industries | ||||
| Energy | Pressure systems | Heat exchangers | Hydraulic/pneumatic systems |
What you will gain
1-2 hours quality CPD at your convenience |
|
An understanding of the biofouling resistance of copper-nickels and copper base alloys |
|
An awareness of the scope of copper alloy marine applications |
|
An understanding of the design, fabrication and commissioning issues for long service life |
|
A unique opportunity to meet leading industrial experts and discuss your copper-nickel issues |
|
A free literature pack covering design, properties and applications |
Who to contact
Various presentations are available in combination with the 'Copper-nickel alloys in marine environments' overview so that we can provide a CPD event tailored to suit your needs.
